Dan joined our team in March 2020 as a trainee in service delivery, and through hard work, dedication, and the support of his colleagues, he has ascended to the role of Lead Technician. Now, as he embarks on a new chapter in his career journey, we celebrate his recent promotion to Graduate Account Manager in January 2024.
In conversation with Dan on his journey with WCS Group
How long have you worked at WCS Group ?
"I have worked at WCS Group for 4 years now having joined Clearwater back in March 2020".
What first attracted you to working at WCS Group ?
"Through a friend who already was working for the company. He messaged me telling me about a job opportunity available, which I was then referred to".
How has the company supported you in your professional development ?
"Yes definitely, at first my line manager Dave Turner was always available to offer help and support when I needed. I was also given the opportunity to go on many different training courses which developed my knowledge on Legionella, Closed Systems, Steam Boilers and Cooling Towers. I’m now receiving the same support off Nicola Haley who is supporting me in my new position as a Graduate Account Manager".
How do you see your future at WCS Group ?
"Yes I do, I feel very loyal to WCS Group now after having a positive 4 years here so far. I’m now looking forward to developing my skills and abilities in my current job role, to hopefully then be promoted to an ‘Account Manager’ and then further to a ‘Senior Account Manager".
What would you say to someone considering a career at WCS Group ?
"I would tell them to give it a shot. The water industry was never something I actually consider going into until Jordan Sild referred me. Now it was one of the best decisions I’ve made and one which has provided me with a great platform for my career".
