Full chemical range

Our range of chemicals can be used in different stages of the effluent treatment process. It includes coagulants and flocculants to remove suspended solids and other impurities, pH adjustment chemicals to bring the pH of wastewater to an optimal level and anti-foaming agents to eliminate foam formation and improve the efficiency of treatment systems.

PH control

Adjust the pH of your wastewater to an optimal level with our specialised chemicals.

High-quality pH adjustment chemicals can bring the pH of wastewater to an optimal level for treatment, improving efficiency, reducing chemical use and achieving final discharge limits.

Coagulants

Remove suspended solids and impurities effectively for clearer water.

Specialised coagulants can be used to reduce COD, FOG, suspended solids and other impurities from wastewater. Coagulants work by destabilizing the charges on particles in the water, causing them to clump together and form larger particles called flocs. We can supply both inorganic (synthetic materials such as aluminium salts and iron salts) and organic coagulants (made from natural materials such as plants).

Flocculants

Remove suspended solids and impurities effectively for clearer water.

Flocculants promote the clumping of flocs formed by coagulants, causing them to settle or float in the water. Together, coagulants and flocculants can significantly improve effectiveness of wastewater treatment operations.

Anti-foaming and de-foaming

Eliminate foam formation and improve treatment system efficiency.

Excess foam can impact treatment efficiency, increase energy consumption and damage equipment. Anti-foaming agents eliminate foam formation by breaking down bubbles and preventing them from forming.

Biological treatment & nutrients

Enhance biological processes for better wastewater treatment, and lower COD / BOD levels.

Biological treatment chemicals promote the growth of beneficial microorganisms in wastewater systems. Our range can be used in a variety of applications to optimise the performance of biological treatment processes, correct F:M ratio issues and promote or reintroduce bacterial life, with a blend of bacterial cultures for activated sludge tanks. We can provide guidance on the appropriate biological treatment chemical for your site to achieve the best results.

Dewatering sludge (screw-press, centrifuges, etc)

Reduce carbon footprint, transport and disposal costs.

Dewatering chemicals enhance the performance of dewatering screw presses and centrifuges. They increase the efficiency of the dewatering process by improving the formation of cake, decreasing the amount of water retained in the sludge and reducing equipment energy consumption. We can provide guidance on the best dewatering chemicals for your site.

Production line cleaning

Maintain hygiene and compliance with our cleaning solutions.

Production line cleaning chemicals are used in the food industry to remove food residues, greases, oils and other contaminants. Our range is suitable for use on surfaces, including stainless steel, plastic and rubber. They work in a range of temperatures - ideal for use in hot or cold cleaning processes - and come with low or high foaming formulas. We can provide guidance on the appropriate chemicals to achieve optimal results.

Contaminants & heavy metal removal

Ensure your wastewater meets environmental standards.

Heavy metal removal chemicals remove a wide range of heavy metals from wastewater, to help achieve discharge consent and improve water quality. Our range comes in different forms, such as chelating agents and precipitation agents. We can provide guidance on the appropriate chemicals to achieve optimal results.

Odour control

Keep unpleasent odours at bay

Odours may be particularly associated with sludge, which contains higher concentrations of odorous chemicals, which can be harmful to both people and plant equipment. Our odour control chemicals neutralize a wide range of odours from industrial wastewater plants, making it more pleasant for the environment and for people.

Neutralizing agents, oxidizing agents and masking agents

We supply chemicals in different forms, such as neutralizing agents, oxidizing agents and masking agents. We can provide guidance on the best chemical for your specific application.

Chemical trials

Cost-effective solutions for effluent management

A trial ensures the correct chemical combination is applied when embedding new, or enhancing existing, wastewater treatment processes. Onsite trials of the entire chemical range, include sustainable chemicals, offered as standard by WCS Environmental Engineering (WCSEE).

Our specialists can review your production line hygiene chemicals to ensure they meet the requirements of the wastewater treatment plant, resulting in fewer chemicals being used for pH adjustment or treatment.

Lab test and analysis report

For trials initial testing is undertaken in a lab, and then upscaled for a trial onsite. Trials can be set up quickly, take approximately one week to run and provide tangible evidence of how the process will work.

Trials collect real-time data generated from the wastewater treatment process ensuring the correct technology and optimal chemical solution. Our specialist laboratory can test for an extensive range of toxic metals, chemical, microbiological and physical parameters (COD/FOG/TSS).

New call-to-action

Free laboratory test and analysis report is part of WCSEE chemical and mechanical industrial wastewater treatment service.

Return on investment

Trials are used to assess and project annual cost savings, which can then be presented to decision-makers to help build the case for a permanent scheme.

Onsite trial information can demonstrate a return on investment, enabling clients to look at the bigger picture such as how much chemicals to use for the treatment system to work effectively and associated energy costs.

Analysis reports are particularly useful for :

  • Chemical optimisation

  • Data for trialling of new equipment

  • Design data for new treatment process

  • Contaminants level of current wastewater

  • Effluent consent level compliance

  • Audit compliance and H&S planning

  • Report on current plant removal efficiency

  • COD, TSS, FOG, Metals, Ammonia, pH, etc

  • Confirmation of potential % reduction in sludge volumes

  • Reduction of MOGDEN costs
