Credit Manager

Job Description: 

Location: Gloucester

Role

To manage the credit control function of a growing £75m turnover business operating out of a number of different locations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the credit control function across a number of different locations
  • Ensure consistent, efficient processes are operating across all locations
  • Ensure adherence to the credit insurance framework
  • Minimise overdue debt and achieve monthly cash collection targets
  • Work with the business to manage credit risk
  • Manage invoice query and account issue resolution processes
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external customers
  • Lead, develop and motivate the credit control team

 

Person Specification

  • Strong ability to lead, organise and motivate a team within a credit / accounts receivable environment
  • Extensive experience in credit risk management
  • Thorough knowledge of analytics, credit scoring, credit systems and processes
  • Proven track record of increasing efficiencies through process improvements and managing KPIs
  • Ability to build strong relationships and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Confident, personable and an engaging leader
  • Strong commercial focus and good business acumen
  • Ability to recognise an issue or opportunity, propose a range of solutions, make well-reasoned recommendations for action and effectively present them to all levels
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel

 

What are the requirements? (experience and qualifications)

  • 5 years’ experience in a finance role
  • Qualified CICM would be an advantage
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft office
  • Worked within a medium to large company
Clean driving licence.
